Jane Austen

Almost all Jane Austen’s novels have been adapted into award winning productions; Pride and Prejudice, Emma and Persuasion for television, films include Mansfield Park, Emma starring Gwyneth Paltrow, and Sense and Sensibility which was nominated for both Oscar and Bafta awards.

This collection of costumes has proved extremely popular and has been displayed in numerous museums and historic houses throughout Europe. Some of the collection is being exhibited in Jane Austen, Film and Fashion at the Museum of Costume, Bath, from Wednesday 4^th February 2004
at Museum of Costume, Bath
